Seagate (STX) is the major harddisk drive (HDD) maker in the world (~ 90% of its sales are from HDD).
Its main competitors are semiconductor storage makers (SSD), instead of hard disk drive makers, such as West Digital (WDC, merged with SanDisk).
Two businesses: 1. Data storage (competitors : WDC and other clouding storage companies); 2. PC HDD: SSD is taking over HDD in the long term and PC shipment is declining (due to mobile devices).
Its two major PC customers are HP Inc. (HPQ) and Dell (DVMT) are under attached by Lenovo etc. also.
Seagate’s 2 businesses are both under attach, so the business will be not easy going forward.
